Netflix Assist preferences are designed to remain part of Shieldly's local browser settings, alongside ad blocking, tracker blocking and page cleanup controls.
What Netflix Assist is intended to do
Netflix Assist is a supported-interruption feature, not a promise to remove every advertisement from Netflix. It is presented as a beta control in the extension, and behavior can change with the player, account context and region. Its purpose is to reduce supported interruptions while preserving playback. It does not change your Netflix subscription, unlock paid content or establish that every plan and device is compatible.
Test playback before changing other settings
Open Shieldly in the browser where you watch, check Netflix Assist and confirm that global protection is active. Reload the player after a change. If playback becomes stuck, disable Netflix Assist for comparison and retry the same title and action. Keep other filters unchanged for that test. A useful result tells you whether the Assist feature affected the symptom, rather than simply showing that several simultaneous changes made it disappear.
Report a player issue without exposing your account
Describe whether the issue occurs when starting a title, during an interruption, after seeking or when moving to the next episode. Include the browser and extension versions and whether disabling Assist restored playback. Do not share a password, session cookie or account token. A screen message can be useful after personal details are removed. Because service behavior changes, a successful test today should not be presented as guaranteed future coverage.
