Shieldly Support

Need help with installation, site compatibility, privacy or data deletion? Start here.

Common Help Topics

Use the extension popup to pause protection, change protection modes, manage per-site controls or report a page that needs a compatibility adjustment.

Installation

Install Shieldly from the Chrome Web Store listing linked on this website. If Chrome blocks installation, make sure you are using a supported Chrome browser profile.

Website Issues

If a site does not work as expected, try Compatibility mode or pause Shieldly for that site. You can then re-enable protection after finishing the task.

Privacy and Data

Read the Privacy Policy and Data Deletion pages for details about local storage, permissions and removing extension data.

Contact

Use the support or developer contact options available on the Shieldly Chrome Web Store listing.

Start with the symptom

If advertising remains visible, check global protection, the relevant module and the current site's exception before reloading. If a useful page feature breaks, record the action that fails and test Compatibility for that site. If installation is blocked, retain the store message and check the browser's extension policy. These are different problems, and changing unrelated settings makes the eventual report harder to interpret.

Prepare a useful support request

Include your browser name and version, Shieldly version, the affected page and the steps that reproduce the issue. Describe what you expected and what happened. Mention whether a narrow compatibility change restored the feature. A local diagnostic export can add context after you review it. Do not include passwords, full license keys, session cookies or private page contents in a public review or screenshot.

Keep a working configuration while investigating

Use the smallest temporary exception that lets you complete your task, and note why it exists. Avoid disabling protection everywhere because of one broken page. Export a backup before a larger configuration reset or browser move. After an update or a fix, retest the original action and remove exceptions you no longer need. Use the developer contact options on the linked store listing when you are ready to submit your reviewed report.

Frequently asked questions

Can this website change my extension settings?

The site's guides describe the workflow. Open the installed Shieldly extension to change its actual configuration.

Does a local report get sent automatically?

Creating a report locally is separate from sending it to support. Review its contents before choosing to share it.
